What is their why?

Often times the pursuit of love is considered an endeavour for the young but I wanted to explore the idea that love and connection exists at every stage of life. The medium of dance is also an expression typically reserved for the young so having the main character use dance as his preferred means of professing his love offered another layer of connecting my generation with previous ones.”

Evan Bourque’s storytelling exists at the intersection of humour and calamity. His work gently weaves together the good, the bad, and the quirky bits of human connection, offering a well-rounded take on life, death, and everything in between.

Music creates a path to the heart and soul, body and mind.
Sharing feeling experience from music speaks to others who feel it too.
Why not invite, dance, smile and see into another soul longing to be free with me.

So often, it’s others who inspire us to take chances and learn new things and enjoy new experiences. Thanks to the producer for this wonderful reminder of that !

I am on a creative path of exploration as I look to find my creative voice in different genres (poetry, movement, story telling & music) and to move it from a solo practice to more of a community-based one with collaboration and support for our common humanity at its core. I really want to find a way to connect different generations and to use art as a way to open dialogue and respect and interest in one another’s differences.

I admire your thought to include the older population in this video. Like you said, society wants us to believe only the younger generation is able to find happiness and love. This is a great video- offering a fun, comical perspective!

This film was a delight to watch! It’s a wonderful reminder that it’s never too late to learn something new and to take a chance at doing so. It’s great when a new activity can be done with or for someone else, however the greatest benefit can be in just doing so for ourselves. I loved the connection the gentleman was trying to make with the lady in the diner, however I really loved seeing the friendly connection being formed with the dance instructor which also highlighted the importance of connections being formed amongst those across different age ranges as well.
